About Bryn Afon
Independent reviews are available on our Guest Comments page where some of our guests have been
kind enough to leave comments on their Bryn Afon experience.
You will find a warm welcome from Gavin and Michelle Bailey at Bryn Afon. Bryn
Afon is a traditional elegant Victorian stone built house full of character and
charm. In the heart of Betws-y-Coed in the picturesque Snowdonia national park,
the house is on the banks of the river Llugwy overlooking the Pont y Pair
Bridge where salmon jump the waterfalls. The house is tastefully furnished with
all modern facilities and your hosts ensure a high standard of service in a
relaxed and informal atmosphere.
A garden is within the grounds for guests to use as well as a jetty by the
river with impressive views of the river and falls. Other facilities for guests
include car parking, locked storage for mountain bikes and motorbikes.
Most bedrooms are en-suite and all bedrooms are well appointed having central
heating, TV, hairdryer and Beverage tray. The bedrooms at the front of the
house have stunning views over the river and waterfall, most at the side of the
house overlook the mountains and river - A wonderful sight to wake up to!
Any diets are catered for with prior notice. A hearty traditional Cooked
Breakfast is served in the dining room and packed lunches can be
provided if you feel able to eat any more!
We have started to compile a more comprehensive list of
things to do in Snowdonia based on experience from Gavin and Michelle
and previous guest visits.
